THIS coming weekend will be the last time for some weeks that the Bears Head pub in Penarth will open its doors.

Pub Operator Wetherspoons announced earlier this year that it was relinquishing its lease on the pub on Windsor Road and Sunday, 16 June will now be the last day of operation.

However, it is expected that the pub will reopen next month under the management of the CROESO Pubs chain, which already runs seven venues including The Philharmonic and Brewhouse in Cardiff.
