UPDATE: Elderly Woman Treated For Burns After Air Ambulance Attends Fire at Dinas Powys Home

A fire that broke out in a residential property this morning in St Donats Close, Dinas Powys, resulted in a multi-agency call out.
POLICE UPDATE: ''Shortly after 8.00 am today emergency services were called to a house fire at a property on St Donats Close, Dinas Powys.
''The elderly female householder has been taken to Morriston Hospital where she is being treated for burns injuries.''
The incident involved the attendance of an air ambulance (which landed in Murch field), South Wales Police, the firefighter service and multiple ambulances.
South Wales Fire and Rescue said: ''At approximately 7:36 am on the 29th May 2020 we received reports of a fire on St Donas Close, Murch in Dinas Powys.
''Crews attended the scene and worked to extinguish the fire.
''Firefighters recovered one person from the property who was taken to hospital.
''A stop message was received at 8:39 am, however, two crews currently remain the scene.
''Work continues to ensure the area is made safe and a fire investigation will now take place to determine the cause of the fire.
"We would like to remind the public that they should have working smoke alarms and test them regularly. Smoke alarms, save lives."
