14 Year Old Penarth resident Luke has organised a fundraiser for the NHS which involves him and his friends performing a heart-warming and powerful rendition of Calon Lân from their own homes.

Luke kicked his fundraising journey off one Thursday when he started singing to his elderly neighbour, who was recovering from Covid-19. You can see him perform here.

After receiving such a positive response he wanted to go even further and so he got in touch with his friends in isolation and created a video of them all singing together under the name ''Singing in Isolation''.

He said: ''My friends and I sing together, most of us with the Welsh National Opera (WNO), and after I arranged the song, we recorded this unique rendition by ourselves as our contribution to the fight against the global Covid-19 pandemic.

''I was inspired to do this after seeing the joy that singing to elderly neighbours who were in isolation brought on Thursday night after Clap for Carers.

''While we were home from school in lockdown we decided to do our bit to support the wonderful people who have worked on the frontline during this challenging time.''

Luke's been working on this for several weeks since his solo performance. He's taught himself how to arrange music, to edit it via garage band, to coordinate his friends and much more. He even managed to rope his little brother into singing it.
