LOCAL couple Kit Lambert and Oola Pearl are celebrating their first year of producing quality cabaret shows in the region with a special show at Penarth Pier Pavilion on Friday night (10 July).

Over the last 12 months Quill & Pearl Presents have produced 16 shows across South Wales, showcasing the very best of local and national artists and delighting new fans along the way. They have also raised money for Tenovus Cancer Care and provided grants and mentoring to new artists alongside the day to day running of the business.

Oola has continue to work across the UK as a burlesque and cabaret artists and Kit is currently working as lead writer and producer on new BBC show, The Detection Club, so it's been a busy year for the couple! But they are excited to be celebrating their one year birthday in their home town.

Cabaret Bingo is a high energy and fun evening suitable for anyone over 18. "We get loads of mixed age groups at the shows" explains Oola. "It's been a treat developing a show that multiple generations of the same family can enjoy. As long as they have a sense of humour and a bit of a wicked streak, that is!"

The next show sees resident host Venus Flytrap back at the helm, alongside performances by co-producer Lili Del Fflur, burlesque sensation Goldie Sparks, Y Llais contestant Liam Edwards and Oola herself.
