Penarth's independent bookshop Griffin Books is set to host an event with Cardiff-based author Carole Hailey, whose debut novel The Silence Project has been featured on BBC Radio 2's Book Club with Zoe Ball.

The Silence Project is a powerful novel that explores the impact of protest movements, alongside a complex mother-daughter relationship. It asks: what is it like to be the daughter of a woman who started a cult that changed the world?

The event, which takes place on Thursday, 16 February at 7.30 pm, will see Carole in conversation with Griffin Books' own Mel Griffin.
