Penarth Coastguard Sunday Call Out to Sully Island

The Penarth Coastguard team alongside Barry RNLI were called to reports of three people cut off by the tide on Sully Island.

On the island, they found two people who were taken back to the mainland and one kayaker who remained on the island fit and well.

Safety advice given and use of RNLI light system was shown.

In these difficult times, please follow the Government's latest coronavirus advice.

You should try to stay home and stay safe but if you do venture out for fresh air over the next few days, stay local and practice social distancing.

Please keep your family and pets safe at all times and, if you see anyone in trouble, call 999 and state the coastguard.
