Local News by Alex Jones 10th Jan 2021

A man from Dinas Powys has been arrested following a dramatic traffic collision on Penarth Road yesterday afternoon.

Craig Hurst, 33, was charged with driving with excess alcohol and dangerous driving. According to South Wales Police, "there are no reports of serious injuries."

The incident took place at around 3.45pm yesterday (8 Jan) and involved a silver Ford Mondeo and black Range Rover.

It is thought that Mr Hurst was driving the crumpled Mondeo shown in the picture. An eyewitness told Nub News:

"That silver Mondeo was absolutely flying down Penarth Road."

Mr Hurst has been bailed to appear before Cardiff Magistrates Court on Tuesday 26th January.
