AUTHOR and campaigner Carwyn Graves will be discussing the heritage of Welsh apples at a talk in the town.
Mr Graves, who wrote the best-selling book Apples of Wales, is promising a fun and entertaining evening centred around the apple.
The talk will be held on Thursday (October 8) as a curtain-raiser to Apple Day – a family fun event in Belle Vue Park.
Tickets for the event at St Augustine's Hall on Albert Road are just £3.
Mr Graves has written a number of books including Welsh Food Stories, and most recently, Cefyn: Wisdom from a Thousand Years of Welsh Nature Poetry.
He is also co-founder and director of the new Welsh charity, Cegin y Bobl (The People's Kitchen). It was set up to equip communities with cooking skills so that everyone has access to healthy, delicious food.
