RECALLING THE HOME FRONT - a celebration of the end of WW2 at St Augustine's Church

Sat 6th Sept at St Augustine's Church 12-4.30pm. An Open Afternoon to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of WW2.
There is an exhibition in the church to do with life on the Homefront during WW2, including memorabilia, costumes, photos and Penarth history. There is also a recreated Victory Garden and a WW2 jeep parked outside to view and get in.
At 1.45pm there is a walk and talk focussing on the war graves in the churchyard.
3pm we have a special concert of wartime songs, stories and memories, performed by members of the gardening group, Friends and congregation of St Augustine's, including our wonderful soloist Zoe Milton Brown.
All welcome, free entry. Cakes, homemade preserves and refreshments will be available.
