The Friends of Penarth Library are pleased to announce that they are again holding a Children's Art Competition in the library.

It will take place between the 19^th January and the 28^th February and is open to all Penarth children in school years four, five and six. Entry is free !

The competition is to paint or draw a favourite animal character from a book on A3 paper and paper is available, on request, from the library. Within the three school year categories, there will be a first prize of a £30 Griffin book voucher, a second prize of a £20 voucher and a third prize of a £10 voucher.

The closing date for entries is the 28^th February and the children's names, addresses, telephone numbers and school year should be written on the back of the artwork, as well as the name of the animal character and the story it comes from.

Prizes will be presented in Penarth Library on Thursday 26^th March and winning entries will again be exhibited in the library. Last year's winners are still on display.
