Take a look back into local history with Penarth Civic Society who are hosting an illustrated talk by Bruce Wallace about four members of his family in Penarth over the last 100 years: A soldier, a sailor, a salvationist and my mum marching.

His Grandfather Tom Wallace fought in WW1, was a Prisoner of War with 35 other Penarth men and was the watchman on the Passat and Pamir during their time in Penarth Dock.

The Welsh Government has agreed to extend the High Street and Retail Rates Relief scheme for an additional year which is aimed to help small and medium-sized businesses and will hopefully bolster some business in the Penarth area.

Penarth is fortunate to have an array of independent retailers throughout the high street but it has still faced issues maintaining shops and stores.
