Our weekly roundup of local sporting groups in Penarth can be found below.

Rugby (October 5):

  • The Old Penarthians 1st XV played Cefn Coed away and won. The final score was Cefn Coed 16 - 25 Old Penarthians. Nathan Mark Facey scored 2 Conversions and 2 Penalties. Chris Poole scored 2 Tries and Louis Chandler scored 1 Try.
  • Penarth RFC played Pontyclun at home and lost. The final score was Penarth RFC 12 - 39 Pontyclun.

Football:

  • Penarth Town B got a much needed win as they fought back from two goals down to beat Barry Athletic B 4-2.
  • Cogan Coronation moved up to fourth as they notched their third win on the bounce with an impressive 4-1 victory away at Cowbridge Town.

The fixtures for next weekend (12th of October) can be found below.

Rugby:

  • Penarth RFC will play Pontyclun at 2:30pm at home.
  • Old Penarthians will play Llandaff North at 2:00pm at home.

Football:

  • Cogan Coronation will play Tynewydd at 2:00 pm at home.
  • Penarth B will play Cadoxton Barry at 2:00 pm away.
