Property of Gin 64

It is Gin 64's 1st Birthday tomorrow and to celebrate they will be holding the official launch of their Penarth Gin - Penarth's first and only premium Welsh dry gin.

The event will be an opportunity for the community to learn about the history behind Penarth gin, what inspired Gin 64 to produce it, and how they achieved the taste using the finest of botanicals and purest of welsh water.

On Wednesday morning over 300 children from Albert Road, Penygarth, Cogan, Victoria, Llandough, Stanwell and St Cyres braved the elements to witness the homecoming of rugby's most fabled and arguably most famous rugby teams, the Barbarians, to Penarth RFC.

It was a continuance of 118 year relationship between the two clubs which started on the first "Easter Tour" back in 1901.

This coming February half term an illuminated family experience will be lighting up Alexandra Park in Penarth in an event that is the first of its kind for Penarth.

Residents are invited to come and see the park come to life after dusk when it will be transformed into Alexandra's Enchanted Garden taking visitors on a magical journey through the park.
