The 'Knit-a-Rainbow' campaign in Penarth has almost reached the end of its trail and the local resident behind the project is coordinating the final stretch and raising money for charity.

Christine Kerr and a group of volunteers have been busy knitting a rainbow all the way from Dingle Park in Penarth to Llandough Hospital in an attempt to raise money and show support for the NHS and frontline workers.

New rules will come into force on Monday to make it easier for family and friends to meet outdoors, First Minister Mark Drakeford announced today as he set out further changes to the coronavirus regulations in Wales.

The latest package of changes follow the 6th review of the coronavirus regulations and focus on enabling friends and family to meet each other outdoors and enabling more businesses to open indoors.

Street Food Hut in Penarth is part of the upgrade being completed by the family business, previously known as the Celtic Lounge, at the end of Windsor Arcade and will open tomorrow with an upgraded shop and menu.

The renovation has been completed as part of an adaptation to these challenging and difficult times and will allow the business to function in the new normal.
