Sgt. Johnson told Penarth Town Council in a meeting in late June that the police are currently recruiting police volunteers in Penarth for the first time as well as increasing the number of officers in the area.

It is hoped that the local community volunteers will be able to help with patrolling local areas, especially given the current climate with coronavirus and an increase in anti-social behaviour in the area.
