Dotty Pots in Penarth has made the difficult decision to close its doors for good as coronavirus takes another hit in our town.

Kat, the owner of the paint your own pottery business, said on Facebook: "This is a very hard post to make, but due to personal circumstances coupled with the uncertainty created by COVID-19 the difficult decision has been made to close Dotty Pots at the end of August for good.

Gwyrddio Penarth Greening and the Penarth Civic Society reached out to the Vale Council after reports came in that local businesses were requested to remove their outside seating.

The two local organisations wrote to the Vale of Glamorgan Council to outline their issues. They stated: "We are extremely concerned about reports that cafés and restaurants have been instructed to remove outside seating until an application process has been completed.

As reported by Penarth Nub News yesterday Next Bikes made their way into the town centre and now another station has been pictured at the Esplanade.

Instructions explain that the e-bikes will only be able to be docked at electric bike stations. These are available in Penarth and Cardiff but not every Next Bike station is suitable.
