FIRST Minister Mark Drakeford has announced a revised four level alert system for Wales as part of the "effort to bring Coronavirus under control" for next week.

Speaking at a press conference today, Mr Drakeford also announced that primary schools will close from next week, and 'hub' provision will be provided for vulnerable children and children of essential workers.

Secondary schools and colleges in Penarth will move to online learning from Monday 14 December as part of a "national effort to reduce transmission of coronavirus" Education Minister Kirsty Williams has confirmed.

"Every day, we are seeing more and more people admitted to hospital with coronavirus symptoms," said Ms Williams.

A row has broken out over £2 million set to fund a Vale of Glamorgan special school expanding, as that money was meant to be for Sully.

Staff working at a psychiatric hospital near Cardiff went to a house party then tested positive for coronavirus, leading to others self-isolating and staff shortages.

Four staff at Hafan y Coed, the adult mental health unit at University Hospital Llandough, allegedly posted pictures of the party on Instagram. They then tested positive for Covid-19.
