Visiting Penarth Cemetery not "reasonable excuse" to enter Vale of Glamorgan, says Town Council

Penarth Town Council has said Penarth Cemetery will not be closed to Vale residents during local lockdown, unlike was the case in March.
However, in a post on their website, they specified that "an individual should not leave the Vale of Glamorgan Local Authority area apart from in exceptional cases. Visiting the cemetery is not included in the list of approved travel.
"Anyone planning to visit Penarth Cemetery from outside the Vale of Glamorgan must now wait until these new lockdown restrictions are lifted.
"Thank you for your understanding."
The clarification comes after various local restrictions were imposed upon the Vale at 6PM on Monday night. Penarth is now said to be in "lockdown", though citizens are afforded more freedoms during this second wave than in March.
Penarthians cannot leave the Vale without a reasonable excuse, nor can they continue to meet with people in their "extended household" indoors. They have also been urged to work from home where possible.
