The Vale of Glamorgan Council has issued a warning to residents after 5G posters with concealed blades have been reported to them.

They said: ''We've received reports of 'Anti 5G' posters being erected in the area.

''Some of these may have sharp objects such as blades concealed behind them, designed to injure upon removal of the poster.

''If you see a poster, DO NOT attempt to remove it. Report via 01446 700111.''

GOV UK states that there is no evidence of a link between 5G and coronavirus. These theories have been rejected by scientific experts in the World Health Organisation and Full Fact, a UK-based independent fact-checking charity.

They said: ''Viruses cannot travel on radio waves or mobile networks. Coronavirus is also spreading in many countries that do not have 5G mobile networks.

''Full Fact makes clear there is no evidence that 5G is harmful to humans and it is not accelerating the spread of coronavirus.''

In some parts of the UK, mobile phone masts have been vandalised because of these incorrect claims. Engineers from mobile phone companies have also been harassed as they carried out their work.
