After his tragic death last weekend, Sully Centurions Cricket Club took to the field and dedicated their matches to Maqsood Anway.
The 44-year-old father of three passed away of a suspected heart attack during Centurions' match against Monkswood Cricket Club on Saturday 17 July.
The teams consulted with Max's family before deciding to play this weekend.
A minute's silence was held before the matches and both sides wore black armbands.
Maqsood's family visited the ground and joined in the tribute.
"In what was the hardest week in the club's history we could not be prouder of the performances from both teams yesterday," the club wrote on social media.
"The first XI winning away at Ponthir while the second XI won at home to Blaengarw."
Both sets of opponents, Ponthir Cricket Club and Blaengarw Cricket Club, also paid tribute to the fallen player.
