The Vale Foodbank is Running ''Critically Low'' on Supplies

The Vale Foodbank appealed to residents yesterday in a campaign on their social media.

The Foodbank aims to provide three days' nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to the charity when they are in a crisis.

They stated: ''We're running critically low on tinned tomatoes, tinned fruit, jam, long life fruit juice and shampoo.

''Without these vital donations, we won't have the essentials to make up full emergency food parcels of local people in crisis.

''Please share our post and donate at one of our collection points in the Vale, including most of our major supermarkets.''

There are donation drop off points available in Penarth and Dinas which have been listed below:

- Food bank centres during opening hours

- Penarth Marina Tesco's

- Dinas Powys Library

- Nisa and Texaco garage in Dinas Powys
