It was recently announced that the Sully Inn, previously known as the Boat House, would be restored to its former glory. Now, management is on the lookout for new employees to join them.

The Knife and Fork independent restaurant company announced that they will be taking over management of the Boat House (and will be reverting back to the Sully Inn as part of that process).

On Facebook, they said: ''The rumours are true. Knife & Fork Food will be opening our sixth location in Sully on February 28th. We will be taking over The Boat House, bringing back your local pub and reverting to the original name of the property – The Sully Inn.

''So if you're familiar with our other locations – The Conway in Pontcanna, The Pilot in Penarth, The Old Swan Inn in Llantwit Major, The Discovery in Lakeside and Twenty Nine Park Place in Cardiff city centre, then you'll hopefully love what we have planned!

''We'll be revealing more very soon, so watch this space.''

The new site will be opening on the 28th of February and they are looking for staff to join them on their new venture.

They have stated: ''A contemporary local gastropub seating up to around 100 covers, plus a function room of an additional 70. This newly acquired Knife & Fork Food venue is currently seeking a Chef de Partie to strengthen the team.

''You'll be preparing classic pub grub alongside more eclectic cuisine, drawing influences from around the world. Everything is made in house using fresh, seasonal produce and where possible locally sourced. The standards are very high and we are always looking to achieve excellence.

''So the ideal candidate will have previous experience working a fresh food kitchen, though not essential. As Chef de Partie you will be involved in all aspects of the day to day running of the kitchen and our busy services. You'll get to put forward ideas for our ever-changing blackboard menu, cook and plate quality food, as well as being involved in the ordering process and adhering to EHO standards.''

They are also currently seeking front of house staff, both part time & full time.

They said: ''We need enthusiastic and charismatic individuals who work well in a team. We are looking for both bar staff and waiting staff, if you're able to do both, even better.

''The standards are very high and we are always looking to achieve excellence. Whether it's our classic fish & chips, a pint of a locally brewed beer or one of our delicious cocktails, you can be sure to be proud of what you serve.

''The ideal candidate will have previous experience working FOH in a busy pub, though this is not essential.''

If you believe you have the required skill sets, enthusiasm and passion to succeed in these roles then please apply with your CV and a cover letter to.
