Mark your calendars for another spectacular edition of the Penarth Summer Festival and Downhill Derby, will be taking place next month.

Hosted on the iconic Penarth Esplanade, the event on Saturday, 15 July, from noon to 8pm. will bring together live music, refreshments, and the thrills of the Downhill Derby for a day of unforgettable fun.

Organized by Penarth Town Council, the Summer Festival and Derby is free for all.

Since its inception in the 1960s, the Penarth Summer Festival has become a highly anticipated annual tradition, taking on various forms throughout the years. With the addition of the Downhill Derby in 2010, the festival has consistently been the highlight of the summer for both residents and visitors alike.

Prepare to be entertained by an impressive lineup of performers, including the sensational Donna Marie as Lady GAGA, Wonderbrass, DJ Hoarez, and Orchestral Beats. The pulse-pounding action of the Downhill Derby will take centre stage, providing adrenaline-fueled excitement for participants and onlookers. There will also be an array of community stalls and fairground rides.

Penarth Town Mayor, Cllr Melissa Rabaiotti said:"We are really pleased and excited that Penarth's Summer Festival and Downhill Derby is back for 2023! It is such an honour to be able to celebrate this fabulous event with our wonderful community.
