Teenager in life-threatening condition after suffering 'serious head injury' in Penarth

South Wales Police are appealing for information as a 16-year-old remains in a life-threatening condition after sustaining a serious head injury on Friday night.

Emergency services were called to St David's Crescent at around 8.15pm to reports of a boy being found unconscious.

In its appeal, South Wales Police say the boy remains in a life-threatening condition at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.

Two people have been arrested in connection with the incident: a 19-year-old man is in custody on suspicion of assault and a 17-year-old male has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
