South Road in Sully is now reopen after unconfirmed reports of an "unexploded device" in a garden of a house on South Road in Sully.

Nub News can confirm that there is no bomb.

A statement from South Wales Police read: "At approximately 1.30pm on Friday (2 April, 2021), police were called to Sully Road following the discovery of what was suspected to be a WW2 explosive in a garden.

"As a precautionary measure, local roads were closed and traffic was diverted until bomb disposal experts arrived.

"It was confirmed to be part of an old fence post and the closures were lifted at approximately 5pm."
