'Save our Post Office' campaign gains momentum

Residents in Dinas Powys support Post Office petition ahead of local counter closure.

"There was a great response to the petition to save our Post Office in Dinas Powys", said Chris Franks local Dinas Powys Councillor.

"We collected pages of signatures in a short time on Saturday morning. People were very concerned about the serious risk of the loss of Counter service with the nearest alternative being Penarth.

"With the planned closure of the Morrisons Daily Store the Post Office which is located in the store will be lost.

"The response to the petition calling on the Post Office to ensure postal counter services continue in Dinas Powys has been very enthusiastic. Watch out for future sessions."

Petition sheets have been placed in Dinas Powys library.
