AN URGENT REQUEST FOR CHRISTMAS HELP!

The Salvation Army in Penarth has for many years worked with the local Social Services Department to supply needy families with both food parcels and toys for Christmas.

This will happen again this year despite challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, it is anticipated that due to job losses, furlough schemes and the recent circuit breaker that there will be many families in the Penarth district who will be suffering some degree of hardship and finding it difficult to provide their children with toys as well as other necessities.

The Salvation Army in Penarth are looking to assist such families by providing toys. Therefore, we would ask that members of the public either supply toys or donations in order that we can purchase toys/gifts.

The toys should be new and unwrapped and be for children from babies to those reaching their seventeenth birthday.

The person to contact will be Captain Mark Kent Tel. 02920 700 858.

This is an answerphone service for contact details to be left, and the Captain will arrange a date for the toys/gifts to be delivered to the Penarth Corps whose address is at the top of the press release.

Alternatively, donate via:

JustGiving

or by Amazon

We realise this is a difficult time for all but we never fail to be amazed at the generosity of the general public.

For any further details please contact Captain Mark Kent on 02920 701 916
