Nub News has compilated the roadworks affecting Penarth and nearby areas in the article below as well as some information about the BIG FILL going on in the area this week.

ROAD CLOSURES:

Rectory Road Lane from junction Windsor Terrace to junction Stanwell Road, Penarth

Start: 27/07/2020 8 am

End: 31/07/2020 6 pm

Details: Road closure will be in place for the excavation of a sewer pipe, from 8 am to 6 pm.

Upper Cosmeston Farm, Penarth from Lavernock Road

Start: 23/03/2020

End: Ongoing

Details: Road closures have been implemented In the interests of Public Safety and no alternative routes are available Access will be permitted for residents only

Contractor: Vale of Glamorgan Council

Cosmeston Drive, Penarth from Lavernock Road to its Cul-de-sac end

Start: 24/03/2020

End: Ongoing

Details: Road closures have been implemented In the interests of Public Safety and no alternative routes are available Access will be permitted for residents only

Temporary Traffic Controls:

Windsor Road, Penarth

Start: 17/07/2020

End: 31/07/2020

Details: Temporary traffic control will be in place for town centre recovery strategy COVID-19.

Contractor: Conemasters

Lavernock Road from Sully to Cosmeston junction

Start: 27/07/2020

End: 31/07/2020

Details: Temporary traffic control and stop/go will be in place for surface dressing works to be undertaken.

Contractor: Vale of Glamorgan Council Highways and Engineering Unit

South Road, Sully

Start: 06/07/2020

End: 02/08/2020

Details: Temporary traffic control will be in place works to be undertaken to replace the gas main.

Contractor: Wales and West Utilitites Forest Traffic

BIG Fill Schedule:

If you have spotted a pothole in one of the following areas, please report it to the council here by the deadline to ensure it is scheduled in for repair during the BIG Fill's visit. Report it by the 31st of July.
