Road was closed while emergency teams deal with incident

A ROAD in Penarth was closed for around two hours this morning (Wednesday, 22 February) as emergency services dealt with a medical emergency.

South Wales Police said: "At just after 9.30am an elderly man suffered a medical episode on Redlands Road.

"The road was blocked while an ambulance was called to the scene.

"The man was taken to hospital and the road re-opened at 11.20am."

Redland Road ws closed and traffic, including local buses were diverted while the situation was dealt with.
