RNLI Penarth is holding a fundraising lunch at Penarth Yacht Club on Friday, June 24.   

Tickets will cost £25 and all funds will help the organisation continue its lifesaving work. The meal, included in the ticket price, will feature a salmon main course and a strawberry dessert.    

The lifeboat station has had a busy period, with the latest data showing a 42% increase on the previous year's rescues.  

RNLI Penarth said in a statement: "With high numbers of people expected in Penarth over the summer, fundraising is key to ensuring the lifesaving service is able to keep everyone safe."   

Tickets can be purchased at the RNLI shop or Penarth Yacht Club.
