Celebrity TV chef and writer Rick Stein delighted Penarth residents when he visited the town for an event organised by Griffin Books.

The sold-out event took place at the Paget Rooms on Tuesday, 31 October when Rick was interviewed by Owen Morgan, one of the owners of the town's tapas restaurant Bar 44,

Rick spoke about his chef's career and how he ended up spending a lifetime in the kitchen.

Then he gave what was described as really good practical advice to audience members about cooking – the central theme of the evening. He highlighted his new book, 'Simple Suppers'.
