First Minister Mark Drakeford has announced that 8 November Remembrance Sunday plans are due to go ahead despite falling within the "circuit breaker" lockdown window.
Following this, the Royal British Legion (who organise the commemoration) have shed some light on how the day is likely to proceed in Penarth:
"Existing COVID-19 limitations currently being imposed will mean the character of our observance of Remembrance Sunday will have to change from previous years.
"There will not be a parade this year and our Acts of Remembrance will be limited to a service at the Garden of Remembrance at 1045 on Sunday 8th November.
"The short ceremony which usually takes place on the corner of Glebe Street and Windsor Road will not happen, but the church service at St Augustine's Church will take place and the two minutes silence at 11.00am is beyond the 9th November conclusion of the measures the First Minister has described and will be observed.
"Unfortunately as congregations are limited to 30, attendance at the Garden of Remembrance will be by invitation only."
Town Mayor Mark Wilson will be among the attendees.
