Police Appeal After Assault on a 72-Year-Old Man in Penarth

Police in Penarth are appealing for witnesses following an assault.

Officers are investigating an assault which took place on the Penarth Esplanade which took place on Bank Holiday Monday, August 26, at around 2.30pm.

A 72-year-old man received treatment in hospital for his injury.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

In particular, officers would like to hear from a man who stopped to talk to the victim shortly after the assault.
