Pier plays host to paper artist who will share her skills

Penarth Pier will play host to an event showcasing the skills of a renowned paper-sculptor - an art visitors will be able to try out for themselves.

Nick Davies is a visual artist inspired by natural phenomena and she will be in the pier pavilion tomorrow (Wednesday, 3 August). There will be two sessions, from 11am. to 1pm and 2 to 4pm.

She will be sharing her skills with attendees at this free event in a relaxed environment. It is described as an 'exciting opportunity to explore the art of paper folding'.

Inspired by nature, using several themes, including water, waves, circle and spiral shapes, attendees will be shown how paper folding can lead to the creation of three-dimensional sculptural artworks.

This activity is suitable for any age from six to 17 years. Small scissors may be used for trimming shapes with assistance if required.
