The open-top bus route through Penarth has been disrupted.

Cardiff Bus, who operate the special summer service, Tweeted that the double decker bus "is in the very capable hands of its engineering team

"But hopefully, it will be back on the road soon," said Cardiff Bus.

"In the meantime, our Rooftop service to Cardiff Bay and Penarth Pier will be operated by a closed-top bus. We apologise for any inconvenience."

Cardiff Bus has been operating the service to Penarth Pier Pavilion since 26 June, which is due to continue until the end of the month.

The route begins on Wyndham Arcade in Cardiff City Centre before stopping at the Millennium Centre, Mermaid Quay, Windsor Terrace and the Esplanade.

It runs hourly, with the first bus departing Wyndham Arcade at 10:25am and the final bus leaving Penarth seafront at 5:54pm.
