Penarth: Windsor Road closed this morning as police checked on man’s welfare

South Wales Police closed Windsor Road in Penarth this morning (May 9) to attend to concerns raised over a man living there.

The road was closed from 09:30 for approximately 30 minutes.

A statement from South Wales Police said: "Police attended Windsor Road, Penarth, just before 09.30 this morning after concerns were raised for the welfare of a man at the location.

"The road was closed for around half an hour to allow the matter to be resolved safely.

"A 40-year-old man has been taken to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff."
