Penarth: Vale secures £1m of UK Government funding for community projects

The full list of schemes receiving £46m funding from the UK government as part of its replacement for EU funding has been revealed.
Councils were invited to bid for the funding from the Community Renewal Fund in May.
Projects proposals were encouraged from both urban and rural areas, aligning with four identified themes and with local priorities:
- Investment in skills
- Investment in local business- Investment in communities and place
- Supporting people into employment The Vale of Glamorgan is to receive £1 million of UK Government funding through Community Renewal Fund. In an announcement made last week, the Vale will receive the funding for six community led projects, which focus from green issues to community enterprises.
