A performance of the all-time classic Somewhere Over The Rainbow was captured by a local resident during the Clap for our Carers yesterday evening.

Penarth came together once again to applaud the work of those on the frontline of fighting the virus.

This is the third week that the Clap for our Carers movement has united communities across the UK.

Laura Kemp, a local author, described the lump in her throat as the beautiful notes transcended over the street in Clive Place.

Her video, which was originally posted on Twitter, has amassed over 13,000 views since it was originally uploaded.

Elsewhere in Penarth claps, instruments and drums could be heard from far and wide as the community thanked key workers for all they have done.

Esther Goodhew, another local resident, also captured her husband Robert and their son playing the violin and trombone together at the front door of their home.

You can see that video here.

A truly beautiful moment.
