August Bank Holiday is almost here and so Nub News has put together a weather report to help you make the most of the later days of summer.

The Met Office predicts that Saturday will be the hottest day in Penarth, reaching temperatures of 26C, perfect for any weekend activities.

Today (Aug 23) will remain sunny and dry with temperatures increasing as the afternoon goes on. The maximum temperature for today is 23C.

Tonight will be a clear and dry night, with only a few mist patches just before dawn.

There will be plenty of sunshine throughout the day. It will be very warm everywhere and any cloud will stay very high in the sky. Maximum temperature 28C.

The Met Office forecasts that it will stay mostly fine and bright over the coming days, though probably cloudier and less warm than on Saturday.

Sunday will reach temperatures of 21C to keep the bank holiday celebrations going strong.

There are lots of events and activities going on in and around Penarth and it is the perfect time to take advantage of the beach, pier and events in and around the town.

Tonight kicks off the bank holiday fun with Mary Bijou's Cabaret night at Penarth Pier Pavilion.

In keeping with the celebrations in the city centre Mary Bijou Cabaret will bring daring circus, sexy music and fabulous costumes to the Penarth Pavilion's Pride Cymru.

Tickets are £13.00 but there are only a few left for tonight's performance.

Or you can take advantage of the beautiful beaches and parks Penarth has to offer in the sunshine.
