St Fagans Castle pub on Windsor Road has reopened its doors following a makeover worth more than £220,000.

The renovation marks a new chapter in the pub's history as it keeps a lot of its original features with a mix of modern touches.

The main front bar displays a range of beer and ale taps, including offerings of Doom Bar, Carling, and Strongbow, and is surrounded by fixed seating which creates a more open space.

At the back of the pub, there is a lounge area where all of the pub's events take place. St Fagans Castle also has six HD TV screens all with Sky Sports and BT Sports packages.

Jamie Thomas, the operator of St Fagans Castle, said: "I'm so excited about the future of St Fagans Castle. The team loves the pub's new look and can't wait to show people around every time a visitor walks in the door.

"It is a new chapter, and I cannot wait to see this amazing pub go from strength to strength. We are delighted to welcome guests and the local community again."

St Fagans Castle hosts regular weekly events including race days on Wednesdays, open mic nights on Thursdays, karaoke on Fridays and live entertainment on Saturdays.

The pub is also working with a local butcher to organise a meat raffle soon, where the money raised will be donated to the charities Mind and Dogs Trust.
