Wildlife lovers and horticulturists across Penarth are getting ready to take part in the 25th annual Penarth Open Gardens Trail.

The event, posted on our What's On events page, will raise money for The Children's Society, the national children's charity.

On the weekend of 24 July, partakers will stroll the trail of gardens and indulge in the refreshments provided.

The organiser for the Open Gardens said: "As this is our 'Silver Anniversary' we need more participants and are asking Penarth gardeners to join us and open their gardens to the public over this weekend.

"No matter if your garden is large or small, whatever style, we do not pre-judge for acceptance, just come along and join in the fun of a fantastic weekend of gardening joy.
