Penarth's Open Gardens is being held in July 2020 and the organisers are calling for gardens and their gardeners to take part in the 24th Annual trail.

A variety of gardens will be open over the weekend including courtyard gardens, cottage gardens and gardens for everyone to enjoy.

Cream Teas, cakes and preserves will be available to tempt residents in.

The gardens are open to help raise money for "The Children's Society Charity".

The organiser for the Open Gardens said: ''We are seeking new gardens to add to our well-established favourites and if you would like to join in and open your garden you will be very welcome.

''Gardens are not inspected to meet any standards as, over the years, we have found each garden has something different to offer the visitor.

''New ideas on garden design, plant information and a good old chat about gardening make this a special weekend for those who enjoy their gardens or those just starting out with their new garden.''
