Community group Friends of Victoria Square are set to host a community garden open day later this month.

The group will be sharing its experience of creating the community garden, and the produce grown there.

Visitors can also meet the local gardeners, feedback on new projects and enjoy Stol Coffee.

"The Friends Community Garden is starting to produce a variety of vegetables, herbs and flowers in our five raised beds," a spokesperson for the group said.

"We would like your views on our new chalk boards that will inform visitors about the produce and how to 'Help yourself but leave some for others'.

"Have a chat with us about the project for the Square – the recent tree planting, development of the Bog Garden and Stumperies and learn about future elements to be completed before the project ends next

year.

The event will take place between 10am-12pm on Saturday 14 August.

Friends of Victoria Square has been funded by The National Lottery Heritage and Welsh Government Community Woodlands funds.

Membership is free - visit the website or Facebook page to learn more.
