The co-op in Penarth has been making some changes in the way that it will run during the coronavirus pandemic with shorter opening hours; a designated elderly and NHS staff shopping hour; and, limitations on certain products.

The store has changed its opening hours and will now be available from 8 am to 8 pm rather than 7 am - 10 pm. This will give the Penarth team time to re-stock and clean so that they can continue to provide good service throughout this challenging time.

They are also hiring more staff and increasing capacity as much as they can, as fast as they can to meet the increased demand in this unprecedented time.

A member of staff at the Penarth store confirmed that from Monday to Saturday, an hour will be set out for those who are over 60 years old and NHS workers (8 am - 9 am).

To make sure there's enough for everyone in the Penarth community they have also limited selected products to 2 per person in-store.
