Penarth: Applications open for third round of Cultural Recovery Fund
Businesses and organisations who have not previously received funding under the Welsh Government's Cultural Recovery Fund (CRF) can now submit applications with the third round now open.
It comes after an announcement made earlier this month that a further £15.4 million would be available for cultural organisations severely affected by the pandemic.
The third round builds on the previous two phases of the CRF which have awarded £93 million and supported organisations, individuals and businesses in the key cultural sectors.
Music and event venues, heritage sites, independent libraries, and local museums are some of the sectors that have been impacted by COVID-19 restrictions.
For an application to be successful, a business must prove they have experienced a 50% reduced turnover between December 2021 and February 2022, compared to the same period on 2019/20.
Dawn Bowden, deputy minister for Arts and Sport, said: "We are fully aware that these impacted sectors continue to face new pressures.
"The innovation and resilience which has been demonstrated by the people and organisations which make these sectors so vibrant has been remarkable.
"We want to ensure that the sector continues to play a part in our recovery from the pandemic and in bringing people together once more."
Business owners and organisations previously supported via the Welsh Government's CRF have been contacted by letter from the week commencing January 17.
Qualifying sole traders will also benefit from a £1,000 Emergency Business Fund grant award to those who don't pay rates.

The deadline for all applications is February 11, 2022.
