Passengers have been left waiting months for a missing replacement bus shelter in Dinas Powys after a previous one was removed.
The bus shelter on Cardiff Road, by the junction with Cross Common Road, was removed by Vale of Glamorgan council last year.
The council had promised to upgrade several shelters across the village, including removing this shelter before supposedly replacing it promptly.
But several months later, the site has been left as an empty pavement with passengers braving the weather while waiting for their bus.
Chris Franks, a Plaid community councillor, said: "It is amazing how long it takes the Vale to sort out any project it undertakes.
"Time after time, construction sites seem to start and then there is a period of inactivity. Meanwhile waiting passengers are out in all weathers. What a shame."
The bus shelter had to be removed to raise the kerbs, according to the council, to make the bus stop comply with disability law.
A Vale of Glamorgan council spokesperson said: "A number of bus shelters in Dinas Powys are to be replaced as part of upgrading works taking place in the village.
"When the shelter in question was removed to put in raised kerbs to make the bus stop compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act, it could not be reinstalled. A new upgraded shelter is due to be installed shortly.
"The council has also installed electronic timetable displays in the bus shelter outside Peter Alan Estate Agents and also in the shelter opposite the infant school on Cardiff Road. The upgraded shelters, once installed, will also be fitted out with these displays.
"Two new Nextbike e-bike docking stations will also be installed in Dinas Powys this year. These developments are all aimed at encouraging residents to use more sustainable modes of transport and complement the council's Project Zero initiative."
