Over 85% of adults in the Vale of Glamorgan are double-jabbed

More than four in five adults in the Vale of Glamorgan have received two doses of a Covid vaccine, according to Public Health Wales.

The figures show that as of Sunday 29 August, 95,804 people aged 18 and over have been given both doses of a Covid vaccine, which is 85.2% of the area's adult population.

The figures for each age group and the number of second doses in the Vale of Glamorgan are:

18 to 29: 13,164 administered, 71%

30 to 39: 13,591 administered, 76%

40 to 49: 15,008 administered, 84%

50 to 54: 8,717 administered, 89%

55 to 59: 9,084 administered, 91%

60 to 64: 8,424 administered, 93%

65 to 69: 7,509 administered, 94%

70 to 74: 7,637 administered, 96%

75 to 79: 5,586 administered, 96%

80 and over: 7,084 administered, 94%

A total of 99,980 people has had at least one jab – 89% of the 18+ population.

In the county's care homes, 546 'older adult' residents have had two doses of a Covid vaccine, almost 98% of that population.

As at the week ending 29 August, 2,184,701 adults in Wales had completed a two dose course of a vaccine.
