The setting for the open air concert in the grounds of St Peter's Church was glorious. A deep, blue sky, horses passing by and buzzards over head.

People were simply glad to be able to attend the first concert organised by Dinas Powys Music Festival since the awful start of lockdown 17 months ago.

The Ecumenical Seven played a wide range of music including the signature tune of 'Castell Dinas Powys'.

There were many favourites including 'I Dreamed a Dream', 'Grow Old With Me' and a brilliant medley of Welsh tunes including 'Sosban Fach', 'Delilah' and 'Ar hyd y Nos'.

There is to be Animal Welfare service in Michaelston on 3 October.
