New Penarth Bus Times Cause Local Confusion

The NAT Group have recently changed their bus times across the 89a and 89b services affecting residents journeys in and out of Penarth.

The bus shelters still have the old times posted around the town but they are running the bus according to the new timetable which is currently only available on their website.

This has caused confusion locally as the new schedule is more erratic, especially as the hourly service from Penarth town centre (Windsor Terrace) used to be at 23 minutes past each hour, alternating between the 89a and 89b.

The times from Penarth's Windsor Terrace stop (Monday - Friday) can now be found below:

  1. 26 / 09.30 / 10.34 / 11.42 / 12.39 / 13.57 / 14.44 / 16.12 / 16.49 / 18.27

Residents have called on the council to provide an integrated timetable including both bus services and the times they will arrive at each stop.

The 89a is the only local bus service that runs to Penarth Pier and so many residents consider this an important feature to the town.

A post that has been made on a local community group on Facebook states that Cllr Peter King has asked for local feedback on the 89A/B bus changes.

You can find images of the new timetables in the gallery at the top of this article.
