A mystery Penarth resident has attached notices on benches along the Clifftop Path to remind people of the severity of the coronavirus crisis and encouraging visitors to stay at home.
One Nub News reader got in touch to tell us about the coronavirus posters.
They said: ''An ingenious Penarth resident has attached notices to a number of the benches along the Cliff Walk.
''They have gone to the trouble putting these notices into a poly pocket but have not secured the open end of it.
''When we walked along Cliff Walk yesterday many of these notices had come out and were on the ground defeating the object and causing litter.
''I hope this person continues updating these notices but secures them in their holder. The notice states at the time of print, the number of deaths and total deaths from the COVID-19 Virus. It then says 'Please go home'.''
Upon investigation, we found that the notices have now been stapled on both sides and are attached to every other bench.
Penarth Neighbourhood Policing Team has issued warnings to residents that they should only be outside for essential journeys or for local exercise, despite the temptation from sunny weather.
People are discouraged from sitting down on walks in order to reduce social interactions and the spread of COVID-19. Sunbathing has been a particular problem for policing teams over the weekend.
